Summer Shoelapse

I needed a new pair of heels for summer to match my new brown handbag. I couldn't find any brown heels in the stores that were the right color or design, so I whipped out my supplies and made and cut these new shoes in under two hours. Total production cost about $3. Money well spent I think.

These shoes were a pair of black pumps that I had for my first high school prom. Later though, I had cut them and redesigned the peep-toe and accents and detailing on the sides of the shoe. A second prom came up, and so I made them into a pair of white heels with pink flowers to match my second prom dress.
And now, they are my brown summer shoes.

I'm wearing my pajamas in the video, as I've said, I suffer from summersonia,

Watercolorpaintingthing Time Lapse

A watercolorpaintingthing time lapse from yesterday:

This time it has music that my brother gave to me.
The special guest star is my sister.

This painting was purely exploratory, I wasn't concerned with using a reference or doing anything specific. I sort of just did this to test out a time lapse with me in it (I was interested in what sort of facial expressions I'd make to be honest).

Enjoy.

JAR CAKE and My First Time Lapse Video

Photobucket
Jar cake for Naaaiiiima!

Naima ate it out of her locker 'cause she didn't want to share any.
Naima showed me a blog about baking and there was a post about jar cakes, and I had never heard of jar cakes before and Naima showed a big interest in them so I decided to bake one for her. I don't have red food coloring, so instead of making a rainbow, I just made a yellowgreenblue one. I thoughtlessly filled the jar up to the rim with batter, and when it rose, it over-spilled about half of its contents all over the oven. It was terrible to clean up, but it did its job.

Also, a time-lapse drawingsketchthingy (there's no music so you can play your own):

This is my first time lapse so I just did a quick sketch to try it out and see how things go. Getting the images in a sequential number to put into a video making program was extremely difficult for me to figure out for some reason, I got very frustrated, but I hate giving up.

So there it is.
